Margaret Goss publishes first novel!
October 15, 2015 is the publication date for The Uncommitted (Three Towers Press: an imprint of HenschelHAUS, Milwaukee), a first novel by Margaret Goss, of Madison. The novel, set in suburban St. Paul, Minnesota, is about a young mother who discovers she’s a messenger between the dead and living—a discovery that makes her and those close to her the target of an invisible evil. A launch party is planned Thursday, Oct. 29, 5-8 p.m. at the Great Dane Pub, 876 Jupiter Dr. Margaret attended the UW Writers’ Institute and received critique services from staff member Christine DeSmet.
Lisa Reily’s script to be read at London Screenwriters Festival 2015!
The screenplay, “Still Life,” by Lisa Reily, currently living in Greece, will be part of the Actors Table Read program at the London Screenwriters Festival held this Fall 2015. “Still Life,” about an artist and his conflicts when serious events unfold for his father and family members, was written in the UW-Madison Continuing Studies online course, “Screenplay: Write Your First Draft Fast,” taught by Christine DeSmet. Lisa also worked with Laurie Scheer on our staff as she polished and marketed the script, and she attended UW Writers’ Institute.
